The first Peoples Market will take place June 4th, 2011 at 1416 E. Commerce home of the Roots of Change Community Garden. The Peoples Market is a swap, barter and sell market. It has a strong emphasis on food, health and the creation of urban gardens. We are currently in need of artist, cooks and gardeners to sell/swap their products.
We are asking a $10 donation per vendor which includes a table and one chair, this amount will be due on the day of the market before the market begins. All food must be made on the premises. We will charge $5 extra for the use of our kitchen. Vendor spaces are limited and are on a first come basis, with preferences to local vendors. You may begin setting up at 8am. The market is scheduled to start at 9 am and will run through 12pm. All vendors must be packed and all sales must be final by 1pm. There will be trashcans, recycle bins and compost bins all around the area.
