SWU and residents of the east side came together for the first work day in the new community garden at 1416 e. commerce.
The goal is to transform this industrial land into a center to grow organic, fresh fruits and veggies, educate the community about gardening and food security and model 'green' low-cost techniques to make polluted lands safe, productive areas. This is the type of people-friendly developed we would like to see.
Get involved. Grow your own food. Donations still needed. For more info contact Lara or Diana at 299.2666
